The ORIGINAL Norfolk Santa Crawl / Norfolk Santarchy / Santacon will take place on Friday December 4, 2009 in downtown Norfolk and begin at 7:00pm, lasting until the last Santa passes out.
Grab your Santa Suit! The original founding Santas of the Norfolk Santa Crawl will begin in the Freemason area at Norfolk Santa’s Bute St workshop before heading towards Granby St and meeting up with other Santas.
Here we go again! The biggest event of the year makes its triumphant return to downtown Norfolk. While those other guys claim to be the 3rd annual crawl, we will be doing our 4TH ANNUAL on the 4th (perfect, right?)! Except no imitations, this one is the REAL deal. The one and only ORIGINAL Norfolk Santa Crawl!
Dress like Santa (or one his helpers), drink some “holiday spirits” and spread Joy. Themed Santas or other holiday characters are especially encouraged. Maybe even some penguins this year. More info to come, but not really needed, you know the drill. Spread the word and recruit for Santa.
This event falls under the SantArchy/SantaCon classification in that we want maximum participation with the least amount of responsibility. Santa is sorry about the Friday date for you out-of-towners, but once again we have to make sure we preempt those fundraiser copy cats who are going out the next night. Besides, you know you want to take the day off for this anyway.
