What the Ho!?
“Norfolk Santa” (formerly known as Peninsula Santa) is just one of many Santas that takes to the streets of downtown Norfolk in early December to participate in The ORIGINAL Norfolk Santa Crawl, also know as Norfolk Santacon or Norfolk SantArchy.
While not a completely original idea, this rag tag group of Santas were the first to assemble in such a manner in the 757 after being influenced by some bad Santas on TV, thus bringing the spirit of Santarchy/Santacon to Hampton Roads. Since first taking to the streets in December of 2006, a local charity group has also begun billing themselves as the “Norfolk Santa Crawl,” further explaining why Norfolk Santa has taken it upon himself to add ORIGINAL to the event title while also embracing the Norfolk Santacon and Norfolk SantArchy monkiers.
